Suitability: Palamedes' canon world already deals with a similar dynamic to the Pacts: he's a necromancer, which is the caste of people who are by default the socially dominant ones over the cavalier caste. So in this way he'll both be able to adjust to it and also adapt, when his Pact isn't in power. He's already entrenched in very deep, soul-consuming bonds, so he'll have a ball with those. On top of this, he's naturally curious and Loves to Learn, so he'll have a lot to do and to study here in this new world, including the sex; finally, he will be able to write his smutty novels without judgment...

Character Summary: Palamedes is a nice person full of empathy from a society that almost requires its people to excise their empathy to survive. Everything he's ever done has been in service of helping others: specifically, he was in love with a terminally ill woman for most of his life, and has literally invented several types of medical equipment in an effort to improve/extend her life. While he's very smart and very loving (and will dedicate himself as a lifelong friend within a few hours, depending), he isn't entirely a bleeding-heart softie: he has an extremism to him when he's upset, especially about harm being done to his loved ones/innocents. In these situations he can and will show a ruthlessness that is at the opposite end of his usual nurturing, friendly behavior. He's also a necromancer, so he has a lot of unique opinions about death and the soul, especially after he died and stuck around as a homeless soul for a while.
